USAINS Holding Sdn Bhd (USAINS) formed in 1998, which is the corporate arm of Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). It is tasked with creating revenue-generating businesses based on the skills offered at USM. USAINS manages USM’s extensive assets – which include properties, projects, programs and enterprises – either directly or indirectly through key subsidiaries, to make a positive contribution to USM and its wider community.

Research Consultation
Recognized nationwide, USAINS is a registered consultant with a myriad of government agencies and government-linked companies including the Ministry of Finance, FINAS, Kastam & Eksais Di Raja Malaysia, the Ministry of Education, TNB Research Sdn Bhd, Petronas, and TM Research & Development. Our services are also accessible to private companies such as multinational corporations as well as small and medium industries.
Laboratory Testing services
USAINS Biomics Laboratory Testing Services Sdn Bhd (UBLTS) started in 2000 as a specialized laboratory offering anti-doping analytical services to the Malayan Racing Association (MRA). In December 2015, UBLTS took over the laboratory testing services from USAINS Holding Sdn Bhd in an effort to consolidate, expand and market the testing services offered by the USM community. The range of laboratory testing services offered encompasses the fields of engineering, materials, chemicals, food, biology, biotechnology, and medical sciences. With this new undertaking UBLTS is the ONE-STOP laboratory testing centre of USM providing ON-TIME delivery of quality laboratory results.

The Property & Facilities Management (PFM) Business Unit of Usains Holding Sdn. Bhd. (the commercial arm of USM) focuses on managing the bulk of USM’s property and shared facilities, within the main campus and off-campus
